Product Description

Surly's Rear Rack is crafted from tubular CroMoly steel. It's perfect for long - distance expedition touring, yet great for local neighborhood rides too. This rack is height - adjustable, fitting a wide range of wheel sizes from 26 to 29 inches. It helps keep your bike's center of gravity low for a super stable ride. The stainless - steel hardware provided by Surly can be attached to most rigid 26”, 700c, and some 29+ frames, along with forks that have drum, caliper, or cantilever brakes. Features include a tubular CroMoly rack and stainless - steel hardware, height adjustment for 26 - 29' wheels, and hardware stored in a reusable Surly Tool Bag. Specifications: requires eyelets, has an 80 - lb weight limit, a maximum wheel size of 29 inches, made of Chromoly Steel, compatible with disc brakes, platform dimensions of 12.20 x 5.90', weighs 1260, and has a tube diameter of 10.

Using your Surly Rear Rack is easy. First, make sure your bike frame has eyelets as the rack requires them for installation. Attach the stainless - steel hardware to your bike frame, which can fit most rigid 26”, 700c, and some 29+ frames with appropriate brakes. Adjust the height of the rack to fit your wheel size, which can range from 26 to 29 inches. When loading the rack, keep the weight evenly distributed to maintain stability, and don't exceed the 80 - lb weight limit. For maintenance, clean the rack regularly with a mild soap and water to prevent rust, especially if you've been riding in wet conditions. Check the hardware periodically to make sure it's tight. Store the rack in a dry place when not in use, and keep the hardware in the reusable Surly Tool Bag to avoid losing it.
